Kindle 2.0 for October This Year

It is rumoured that two new models Kindle, Amazon, will arrive in stores near Christmas, with the first arriving at least October.

The first is an updated version with the display of the same size, a smaller form factor, and an improved interface. The source told us that Amazon is? Jumped three or four generations? Kindle comparing the first generation iPod to one and the new version will be something as sexy as the iPod Mini.
        

First Update Keeping Ubuntu 8.04

Ubuntu 8.04 Heron Hardy was released a couple of months ago as a version Long Term Support, as already commented on the official launch. This implies a special maintenance by Canonical, because it increases the time of support to three years for desktop publishing and five years if the issue is for servers. During that time, than in the rest of conventional versions of the system stays in just 18 months, the Ubuntu team provides technical support and security updates to users of the system.


Canonical has announced the new version of Ubuntu 8.04.1 as the first version keeping Hardy Heron, with a list of errors and corrected some important updates, including version 3.0 of Firefox web browser.


The normal versions of Ubuntu is released every 6 months, so that users of this operating system normally enjoy two new versions each year and a version LTS every two years. For example, right now we are officially supported by Ubuntu in three different versions: Edgy Eft, Gutsy Gibbon and Hardy Heron.

Let me set the scene for you. The place is a beach, 1000 miles from home. The sun is setting, the weather is perfect. The sand seems to go on and on forever, soft and warm. You're busy talking on the phone when you notice a particularly large wave coming at you. You are startled and jump out of the way, dropping your phone. The wave stops just short of covering your phone and you think that it's your lucky day-and then you pick up your iPhone (did I forget to mention that it's an iPhone, and not some cheap phone?) and realize that its screen is completely shattered. The resulting pattern looked a little like broken glass art, turning the phone into little more than a really expensive paperweight, though a really pretty one.
There's nothing quite like the moment when you realize that you are far away from home and completely cut off from civilization.
Obviously I got back to civilization, but that's another story you probably will never get to hear.
