"Reincarnation" The New Film
Solomon Shang, director of films like "Mother Cuba" or "Zone of
Tarkovsky," premiered last morning in Madrid and Barcelona only its new
film "Reincarnation," a risky project that tells the story of two
characters in a hostile city that alienates them and drag them to
decay.
Nuria Prims ( "Stories of Kronen" or "survive"), Tony
Corvillo ( "The Birthday") and Judith Uriach ( "youth") make up the
distribution of the film, "a portrait of the silence of the
marginalized, those who are misplaced, "Shang explained during the
presentation of the film shot in Barcelona. The director, who did not
want to make a traditional film, describe his work as a "false work of
fiction" which seeks "to merge the real-time and time film."
"Reincarnation" is filmed in Barcelona, a city "which is usually only
show the friendly," says Shang. In the film teaches us is a city where
decadence is present in every corner, where integration is not
possible. "With this work I rediscovered social strata, but not in the
economic sense, but for the emotions. Layers of those who live with
their domestic misery," says the director. In this sense Nuria Prims,
protagonist of the film, has made an interpretative work "extremely
difficult", says herself. "I have been very difficult to separate the
character of myself, sometimes I have very bad past," he adds. The
film, shot in black and white and lasting three hours, consists of long
sequences where the dialogues have been reduced to what is absolutely
necessary. "I wanted to give content to silence, and the basis for
giving this regard has been the continence of emotions in the
interpretation" clarifies Shang. Thus, "Reincarnation" is a
contemporary vision of a present "terrifying", in which the characters
live incomplete stories, a metaphor for all of today's society.
